01 CL Tranny

Hello, I've had Integra and Accords, went to BMW for a while, but coming back to dependability. I need some advice.
I'm looking at an 01 CL type-s with 125,000 miles. How will I know if any transmission work has been done? Carfax? I'll ask for dealer warranty, but hate the thought of buying a used car with transmission issues. That always gets expensive. Any thoughts? THANK YOU.

Help with bad tranny. What to do?

Tranny just went out! Going 60mph and went into 2nd gear! Wife about went through the windshield! Dealer wants $4500 to fix it and it only has 104,000 miles! It's a 2001. I bought it for her in 2000. Do I have any recorse?
Thanks for the help

I called Acura and they cut the price to $2800.00 but if I buy a new car they will fix it for free? What to do?

I have the exact same issue. Do Acura dealers fix these issues? And how much did they charge?

A popular car repair store gave me an estimate of 4000 big ones

saying they will only do it if u buy a new car seems real shitty to me. Would make me want to never buy an acura again.

They fixed it for free but they charged me a lot for my new tsx! It was like I just got screwed all over again
They also told me after I bought the car that the three year 36K warrentee is not offered to me because Acura paid for it!
The new TSX is making a funny sound when it shifts into drive!
Anyone want a deal on a new TSX?

bro sounds like they are seriously jerking you off at that dealership...the thing with the new car is absurd and then to tell you that the 3 yr 36,000 mile warranty is not valid is beyond ridiculous!!!!
You must demand that they honor that warranty...i don't even think its debatable...i was told that if acura fixes the tranny it automatically knows when the warranty is applied from your vin...if an acura dealership is telling you that your tranny isn't covered by a warranty then they must have done some fugazzi tranny work...it doesn't matter if you or acura covered the costs...if acura agreed to fix it then it has that warranty...
They are trying to ass rape you...i guess they will figure your tranny will go out again and now they can charge you for the cost and get it covered by acura for free covering their costs!!!
I think you need to be very aggressive in questioning why the warranty isn't applied...you need to get the dealership name and store number, the regional manager's name, the person in charge of operations, all salespersons and floor managers who you dealt with...explain to them that you are in the process of filing a claim with the better business bureau, your local chamber of commerce and that you are reporting them to acura corporate for fraud and uncooth business practices.
At the very least you have to start demanding answers and file a complaint with acura/honda corporate. Explain your story to them and i guarantee they won't be too happy with how you were treated. Tell them everything; the new car thing and the warranty not being honored. You need to have your information together though. Bro you have to do this do not let these people get over on you!!!!
Oh ya...what friggin stealership was this anyway??

I'm afraid the tranny is out on my '01 CL. I now have 86K on it but dealer and corporate won't fix it because it is past the warranty in time (7 years). They have agreed to paying a portion of it, but still costing around 3k!

does anybody has any luck on having the tranny replace without a cost? My 2003 cl-s is slipping crazily. I tried to call my local acura dealer and they said the recall is over. How could it be over if it is a recall.

Not clear on your message

I have 2003 CL 3.2 with 72000 miles and not receiving any kindness toward repair(cost/or otherwise). Your message indicated up to limit of year 2002. If your message/information is as stated, I would think it would be difficult to stop at year 2002. You also said that the extention is to 100,000 or seven months+. Do you mean either one. Hope I'm reading your info right... 100,000 level. Please respond. Thank! Do you have something in writing by Honda/Acura....if so please share.

I have a failing transmission as well my work around the problem is to drive it in D4. You'll burn more gas but the car rides better than it has until I get the transmission replaced.
