Oh yea! Really did my research when I needed new car. First was interested in a Integra for autocross. After much contemplation decided on the cool cruising CL-S! Was difficult for my wife to understand why at 5000mi I ripped out shocks, springs swaybars, headers etc when wasn't this car brand new! I finally helped her to understand. Drag raced it for about half a year and by the next year bought my 73'Camaro drag race only car in 2003 and its been wheels up launches for me ever since. Check out this cool pic! http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...4/IMG_0556.jpg

Got tranny problems with my 97CL thinking of getting a 2001 CLS type S with 89k miles for $11k. Love those cars but hate the problems they're having.
Thought only the first gens had tranny problems. What year seem to have less tranny problems? Please let me know, seriously thinking of replacing my 97 CL 3.0

tranny was replaced at 45k miles, and is at 79k right now and is in my opinion needing some attention again, but not throwing any codes
