Wheel Adapers & OEM Wheel Specs????

I'm looking to upgrade my wheels to a 18 x 8.5 rim...i'm thinking maybe a 225 or 235 tire but my question has to do with some of the stock specs becuase the rim i'm looking at is not a 5 bolt/114.3 (4.5) pattern. Its a 5/120 pattern with an offset of 20.

I know i can purchase an adapter to correct the pattern. Those are relatively inexpensive. My biggest concern is with this adapter, how far will it make the wheel stick out (effect of the offset & thickness of the adapter). i don't have any suspension mods but i still don't want my car to look like a "hot wheel".

Can anybody give me the specs on what is the recommended offset for an aftermarket wheel? Is it 45? And would anyone know the Center Bore (C.B.) spec for the factory wheel hub or rim?

Is anyone using adapters in this forum?

Thanks in Advance,

Chris
