Coilovers

what are some of the best coil overs to run on a 2001 acura cl. I've heard of some people running the racelands for the tl and does function and form make some that fit on it? anyone running the tien street basis what do you think of them?

It sounds like you want coilovers with more regard to price rather than quality. Are you concerned more with how the car rides, or do you want it to sit on the ground? If you want it to handle very well and not spend a lot of money, I suggest Koni yellows and H&R Race springs. I have four sets of Konis on different cars and they are amazing. They ride similar to OEM when on full soft and are quick and responsive when turned up a bit. The H&R Race springs will also lower the car about 2".

Avoid raceland and F&F. I've heard far more complaints about them then positive reviews. Your best bet for a low budget coilover is indeed the Street Basis. They don't have damping or preload adjustment but they are ride height adjustable and are a quality set. They'll outperform other coilovers in their price range and they're built to last.

We offer the Street Basis at great sales pricing and can ship them out quickly!

tein on the car for nearly 80K miles and going strong...have no issues with making that purchase. What you want to stick with for a comfy ride is a monotube design (IMO)...

If my tein ever shits, I'd give H&R street performance coilovers a shot...I have them on a 2nd vehicle and it rides great too!
