New here, got a few questions!

Hello acurazine! I've been looking around on here for a while and have finally decided I need some direct help. I bought my cls6 a few months ago and decided I wanted to stance it out so I bought function form type 1 coilovers. The Install was pretty easy as I've done it on countless other hondas in the past.

Here's how it looked

I loved the way it looked and the wheels I bought for it were gonna be perfect. Right after I lowered it, the car began shaking at lower rpms up through 45 mph. I replaced both axles, wheels bearings, and a bad ball joint and it still had the shakes. I finally took it to acura and they said it was simply because it was so low that the geometry of the suspension was causing tension on the lower ball joints and axles making them wiggle at certain rpms. They said the only remedy would be putting the stock suspension back on or find extended lower ball joints and shortened axles.

I have read that some of our cars will get the wobbles after lowering and some wont. With that being said, Is what acura said right? If so, where would I find extended lower ball joints? Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

Did you install adjustable control arms, front and back, like Ingalls or SPC? Being so lowered, you will need them in order to get an accurate alignment, which certainly could cause the shaking you described. Check the tie rods too, otherwise see if any others have suggestions or god forbid, raise it up a half inch and see if it helps? I think your drop and stance look good though, would hate to see you raise it up!

also, something as simple as balancing your tires could have something to do with it.

Ive already put the stock suspension back on and sold the coilovers :-( I really miss the drop. I had all the suspension checked out and the only think that was bad was an upper ball joint. I also had the tires balanced and the car aligned. I know its kinda dumb since ive already gone back stock but I really want to find out how to avoid this problem because i defiantly want to get back to the ground. maybe the camber kit would help, next time ill have to get them.

I just lowered my car last week and am experiencing the same issue but only on the passenger side front. I am going to look further into it today: recheck all bolts and bushings, raise it back up a little bit and then see how it performs. I will report back with an update once completed.

Did you replace axles with OEM parts?
