My '03 CLS-6 Build Thread

I noticed a slight difference over stock but I'm not sure exactly how much to the wheels without a dyno comparison. It definitely sounds a lot better.
Thanks maybe I should talk to my friend who made it about making a few more if people are willing to pay haha.

Here goes a few pictures I just took now since my brothers cl and my uncles car is in the driveway enjoy.

It all depends how many all of you guys would want total. I can get a price list together of all the materials used. If you guys are serious I can have a few made.
#47
I cleaned the car today and brought out my bike since it was such a nice day here's a bunch of pictures enjoy.
#49
Thank you! It's a 07 Honda cbr 1000RR. About the intake do you just want a price of all the materials it cost to make it or to just buy one exactly like mine. I would have to talk to my friend that made it and he would have to come up with a price. I'm sure the more people that are willing to buy them the price could be better.
#52
Ok I'll speak with my friend today to get a material price list and a idea about how much it would cost to make them labor wise.

Whats up with RDX owners?

You need a new rear tire.
And your swingarm looks broken

Thanks I put it to good use haha.
Thank you!
Ok once I come up with a material list and total price I will let you know.
That tire doesn't have much tread at all when brand new, it's a shinko hook up drag radial. It's on the bald side from all the track runs and I just was playing around the other day in front of my friends shop since I knew I was buying a new tire within a few days. I ordered a new drag radial on Monday.
As for the swingarm I know most people don't like them extended but trust me mine it put to use and is far from just for looks. So far my best 60ft to date is 1.5 while still foot shifting. I'm changing the rear sprocket when I put the new tire on, getting it dyno tuned since it's still only tweaked by me, and adding a air shifter within the next few weeks. Hopefully I can cut a 1.4 60ft and run at least a 9.5 et. Depending how close I am to running high 8's I might spray it with a small shot just to say I have a 200+whp and still a street bike.
Thank you!

As soon as we come up with a material price list and a total price for it made I'll let you guys know. Also would you all want it to be polished aluminum like mine or powder coated any color you want? The powder coater we use is one minute away from his shop and does great work.

I haven't been around a computer lately since I've been on vacation the past week in NY. I decided before I left I want to get my intake piping, throttle body, p2r throttle body spacer, upper intake manifold, upper intake manifold top cover, p2r intake plenums, and valve covers powder coated. Once I'm back and pick up the parts I will know how much the coater would charge to get the intake piping coated. While I have it apart I'm going to do a valve adjustment and relocate the battery to the trunk to clean up the engine bay some.
As for the price of the intake it will cost $400 shipped anywhere in the united states.
The material list is:
1. Burns Stainless aluminum transition long 14 degree or short 30 degree taper 2 3/4 - 3 1/2. I went with short on mine. $39.30
2. Vibrant Performance aluminum 90 degree piping. $43.95 Each two total
3. Vibrant Performance aluminum straight piping. $36.95
4. Vibrant Performance silicone reducer coupler $28.95 Three colors available black, blue, or red.
5. Vibrant Performance five inch tall air filter $46.95
6. Vibrant Performance stainless steel t bolt clamps. $13.95 each two total
Total price for materials would be $267.95 polished without powder coating which would be a additional cost if wanted.
Here's a picture I took after I took everything off to get coated.

Three Wheelin'
his is 3.5", is yours the actual 4"?
#65
Thanks for the compliments guys. AARONSredTYPE-S you can have the same exact intake as mine if you read post number 60. I posted all the details about it finally lol. Yours looks good too rush.

i found all the material on cxracing.com for $118 without a filter, which is about 50-60 somewhere else. So, 170-180 total is great for a 4" intake....
on another note, are you gonna smoke the tails and black out the chrome window trim?

Yes I just can't make up my mind whether to just smoke the whole light or just the clear part. Correct I'm blacking out the trim also.

rvinyl.com is a good place for tail light film and the vinyl for the trim, or decalfx is good too. thats where im gonna get my stuff...gl
#71
Yeah I don't think I want to do the whole light. I can't decide what to do yet lol. I good friend of mine owns a body shop so I'm going to have him spray the tail lights and the trim it will come out better that way. Plus I never worked with vinyl at all.

not abad decision if you know 100% what you want and the person doing it is really good, because there is no going back from paint. Plus, on my old red cl-s, i painted the tails and it never looked as good as the vinyl because of the finish. Plus the coats have to be exact and perfectly even or you will see it clear as day when the light is on....we'll see what you do..look on you tube for the guys i talked about with the vinyl and you will see how simple it is and may change your mind...gl buddy

I got my car all back together finally! I got a few parts powder coated and while they were off I had type jdm do a valve adjustment thanks again Steven! I changed the plugs also. Here's some pictures I took today don't mind the white shit on my passenger side headlight that was throttle body cleaner from my friend by accident. They still need to be buffed out anyways.

Wow nice progress so far. What are your other plans?
Btw, very nice bike, and I love that extended fork. How does it ride with extended? Did handling improved by a lot?

Lol noo I still have a few more goodies to add to it. Thank you
I have a bunch of stuff left to do. Way to much to name lol. Thanks the handling is actually decreased when you extend the swing arm. I did it for drag racing to reduce the bike from doing wheelies as bad.

Thank you! I opened up the headlights today to black the bezels and corners out. I'm also going to try and make the lenses as clean as possible with a wet sand and buff. I already did it once while they were on the car with wax and it helped some as you can see from those two pictures. Once I decide what to do with my taillights I'll do that soon also.

If your going to re-do them though, I recommend trying to find some source of uv protection for them just to be safe.
