Your car came off the Ohio line right ahead of mine... I've got #122
Still baffled how if it was originally delivered up here north of of 49 it's packing a speedo in MPH. If it was swapped out that would throw the milage history to hell and that would have been flagged in the CarFax report. Just tossing here but if was exchanged and being being digital, perhaps it's none too hard to dial the new one up to the existing milage maybe?
One of those things that make ya go: Hmmm

ok so car was leased on 11/30/2001
there's never been anything claimed on warranty on your CL
2nd gear recall hasn't been performed
the 7 in the Vin that says : canadian type S is only in 2003, in 2002 it was 6 for Type S (sorry my mistake )

Good to know...guess I'd better get it in for that 2nd gear recall then!! Not too worried about the lease since they took good care of it and only put 6,000 on it in 2 years. Thanks Type S Zero!

One more thing to satisfy my curiousity about this little mystery. The info so far is that your car rolled off the assembly line, right ahead of and exactly the same as my low-time (26,300) beauty. NGM/Parchment Type S and with a "Canadian" VIN (dinna know about that before) so chances are it's intended destination was Canuckleland. Now ya'll find out that it ended up in the hands of the gubment of Idaho instead where it basically sat for a couple years. They decide to unload it and some lucky duck, well, doc actually, lands it. Then he flips it to a dealer after a couple of years and you luck into it. So far so good.
One question left, maybe two. The speedo and the OAT.
When did the U.S. speedo get installed? Last minute at the factory or did the Canadian speedo need to be swapped out sometime later but before delivery when it turned out that the car was staying in the U.S. and they dinna bother to switch the outside temp indicator from Celsius to Farhenheit.
Last thing: Take a look inside the drivers side door jam. On the larger vertical VIN decal (mine has an additional smaller horizontal VIN only decal right above it) is there a Canadian import stamp on the upper right side of it? It's a stylized maple leaft with "Canada" on the top, two sets of five small letters on either side and a three digit number inside the leaf. If so it crossed the border before ending up back in Idaho.

The type-S IMs are different than the premium model. The air intake isn't even showing in that pic.

If you get certain set of springs, you won't have to worry about ride quality. It'll still be nice. No matter what suspension you have (stock or not) it's still horrible for the whole car to go any faster than crawling speed over speed bumps. So don't be afraid of a slight drop.

You love your car, you've been around here for a bit... $20 says you'll buy springs at somepoint.

I figured that ...... no one has a Gold CL except me and She who posted awhile back so here it goes. It's a 2001 3.2CL ... no S ... unfortunately. Small drop on some Eibach coilovers and on 18" Racing Hart M5s. Enjoy ... I hope ... lol

Here's a couple pictures.... sorry that they're so big. I was too lazy to resize. This forum is awesome, great community and lots of great CLs! Haha but I never really thought to post 'cause I didn't have much to say, but I noticed no one has a Naples Gold CL minus the posts She-L-S made. Car is a 2001 CL ... no Type-S ... on 18" Racing Hart M5s ... lowered a bit with some Eibach coilovers. Enjoy I hope.

We just bought our naples gold last month. 2003 CL with 54,000 miles on it. It was ultra clean and driven by an elderly lady. It ran us $8200.00 which after shopping around for a CL was a great price. After it clears up I'll post some picks. This is a great forum and I have found a lot of suggestions to put to good use.
We had a loaded 2006 Accord EX-L V6 w/NAV that we sold. My wife and I got tired of high car payments. We pretty much love our CL more than the Accord. I miss the 6-speed tranny that was in the Accord though. For being the P model, this thing is pretty quick.
I have some 17" TSW's sitting in the garage waiting for new tires. I didn't realize that the P model comes with 16's. I plan on putting on some 225/40/17's or something along those lines. Later in the spring I'll install Eibach spring and shock kit or the B&G kit. I've read some good reviews from posts here on both kits. The windows are already tinted.
