those won't poke at all. I had 19x8 +51 rims that tucked in the rear with a heavy trunk with no fender roll. 7.5 +42 will only extend an extra 3mm from those.
I'm now running 8 wide +35 and they are flush. I rub on big dips - rolled fenders and shaved tabs. If i ran a bit of camber i wouldn't rub or if i went with a small tire stretch.

So car is throwing a code, it's bitching about the EGR valve and not enough flow. So I'm wondering what's better: run a block plate on it or remove it clean it (with what? brake cleaner or carb cleaner?) and see if that fixes it?

Clean it out with carb cleaner and a hanger. Theres a DIY on the TL side. I wouldnt block it off.

Okay, I wasn't planning on blocking it, just wasn't sure if it would be better to just get rid of it altogether to prevent future annoyances. Got a link to that DIY?

Well, couple days ago when I was leaving my friends, car wouldn't shift out of first, at all. Got it checked out and turned out it was a quart and a half low on tranny fluid and needed a new shift solenoid, but I have not seen any signs of fluid leakage. Got the fluid flushed and replaced, along with the filter, and the solenoid as well. Runs great now and shifts fine. So glad it wasn't the whole damn thing.

A quart and a half? Wtf?

Yeah I have never seen any fluid on the ground anywhere. The parking lot for my apartment is very light colored and I park in the same spot every time so I def would have noticed some fluids. But it shifts a lot better now, much quicker and smoother.

At least the tranny isn't dead.

1) Get a 5 gallon jug of gas
2) Open windows and hood and proceed to pour gas everywhere
3) Light a match
4) Drop match into car
5) Get the fuck out of there
6) Collect insurance check

What's the maximum wattage I could use for the road lamps? I know they are 12w to begin with, think I could use an 18w LED?
IE something like this?

So when it comes to spacers...what should I look for and what should I avoid? For example, a friend is selling these 15mm spacers, $50 bucks I hope, but he does not know the brand or much about them. Can anyone tell anything about them from the pics? (it's the set of 4 on the left)

No, stay away from those.
Look into the Ichiba V2. They have studs pressed in. My only complaint is that the nuts strip pretty easily.

Thanks Tyler, but just for informations sake, what is bad about them? I know about the V2's, you told me about them. And what exactly does studs pressed in mean? Sorry! Still new to this kind of thing.

The problem with those that you posted is that now the stud isn't as long so the nut isn't on there as "far", I guess you could say. Also, it doesn't look like those spacers come with hubcentric rings which go in the middle. The rings make sure that the inner part of the spacer and the wheel are the same size so there's no wobbling around and such.

Light bulb is now on. Wow. lol. Thanks Tyler. Also when I'm looking for them I see a lot are make and model specific, but are the same bolt pattern as mine, does it matter? Mainly because I'm cheap and I would rather pay about 210 for four than 280 for four.

I honestly couldn't tell you. It may come down to the side of the centerbore.

If you go with the hub centric spacers (which I recommend), they should be 5x114 or 5x4.5" with a 64.1mm hub bore.

^Good price on those. Expensive for a full set but you've gotta pay to play
I was fortunate enough and knew a business owner who was getting a large shipment of spacers in. I paid what he paid for them
Tyler PLEASE get your wheels refinished before putting spacers on. Maybe Santa will be generous and give you enough to know both of those things out at the same time

Yeah things have been slow lately since I had finals and such and the holidays. I'm hoping to get the rash checked out in January and hopefully fixed soon. It bothers me a lot, but so does tucking lol. And that is a really good price for those, just wish I could find them for the like 80 a pair that some other cars have. Thanks for the info guys!

Youre still running stockies, right? Theyre 17x7 +55 IIRC. So......
-That would put them at a +40mm with the 15mm spacer.
-My old 18x8 +48mm didnt rub with 235/40 tires.
-With a 15mm spacer your wheels will sit 4.7mm further in then when I ran the 18x8s.
So, as long as my early morning math is correct, you shouldnt have to roll your fenders.

The 18x8 +48s? Not very. No fender rolling or tab trimming required.
My 18x8.5 +42 Works were flush (not hella flush). They sat about 12.35mm further out then the 18x8s or 17.05mm further out then your stockies with the 15mm spacer.
If you want a slightly more aggressive stance, go with 20mm spacers. Get a good quality spacer if youre going that wide though. You may rub slightly in the rear.

Haha sorry I'm not up to date on the abbreviations! I stick to the big three: LOL OMG WTF
That sounds good. I wasn't planning on going hellaflush cause that takes hellamoney. I just want some decent fitment so it looks nice. I will def rock 15mm spacers (Ichiba V2s for sure) and when I get out of school and can afford fun things, coils Works and rolled fenders.
