'03 Anthracite CL-S

My 2003 I've had since 2010. Imported to Eastern Canada from Texas. Added the roof wrap recently to cover up some Texas sun damage.

looks clean! What brand/colour wrap did you go with? I need to wrap my parents civic roof from the paint fading there.

Needs a drop!

If I may suggest... Replace the roof wrap with a glossy black. It'll tie into the rest of the car so much nicer.

the car looks good though. The CL-S will always have a special place in my heart.

gnuts, it's from 3M, I think it's 1080 in 'carbon'. I knew the 'needs a drop' comments wouldn't take long! ha.

Taco, I did think about black paint, 'cause my bodyman would have painted the roof for the same price as getting the wrap put on. In the end I guess I figured the carbon pattern would be more modern.

Yes sir, automatic. I've only put on about 20k miles, haven't had any tranny issues.
What kind of ballpark money we talking to do an average drop on these cars? Nothing too crazy.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I meant a glossy black wrap. Alternatively, look at "6D carbon fiber" wrap material. That stuff looks like real carbon fiber, at least from photos. It has a nice glossy finish to it.

I actually just ordered some but it won't get here for close to 4 weeks. It's coming straight from the manufacturer, in China

Depends if you want adjustable coilovers, or just lowering Springs. Spring can be had for 2-300 bucks, I believe. Coilovers are obviously more- I would venture a guess of 600-1200, depends on what you buy.

Interior shots, check out that re-covered armrest with red stitching.... Daaaaaaaaaamn! ha.
I had the headrests and the armrest in the rear done in red to balance it out a little better.

Man that is sharp! Seats look good. What leather product do you use on the interior?

Thanks Danzig54, I’ve used an Armour All gel for leather a few times, seats seem to soak it right up.

It was a JVC 830 double DIN size from 2010 - I could play videos from an attached iPod.

Acura replacement:

Yo, that Type-S emblem on the front attatched to the grill was dope. You did that yourself? Cause my ‘03 CLS doesn’t have it.

Yep, just something from ebay I think, partly so you could tell there was a mesh grill there in the middle, it wasn't always easy to see.

what did you stick it with? Gorilla glue? I got an Type-S emblem just laying around. The other day I held it in the same location you had yours and I like it. I never thought about that.

Don't remember the glue, but I cut out a 'backer plate' to put on the inside and try to get the glue to touch both side to make it more secure. Not sure how well that work but it never fell off, including a few trips through auomated car washs.

Nice CL, and Nice S5! I have looked at those for a while, as I have had my CL for 14 years now! But it's not my daily driver. It's my fun car. The S5 quick? Reminds me of the CL!

I find it's deceptively fast yes with the V6, it's a fun car, and so refined compared to the CL - I had a Grand National for 22 years too. Also quick and modified a bit, but the Audi is of course a world apart. With the AWD, it's power that most anyone can control on wet or dry roads.
