Question about OEM TL fog light switch use in a CL with aftermarket Fogs!!!!
Ok here is my question I went to two different places. The first place was car trix on Tuesday and then installation’s unlimited today. I let installations unlimited wire up the Hello Micro De fogs. When I brought the OEM TL fog light switch to car trix, they said they can’t wire it up using the oem switch. Installations unlimited said they couldn’t use to OEM fog switch from the TL either. So basically my question is has anyone used the TL OEM switch with aftermarket fogs and if so how did you wire it? Any input would be appreciated. Right now i have it wired up using the switch that came with the Hella's.

one wire has to be ground, one wire is probably the lead to turn the lights on, the third wire is probably 12v to just light the switch up. basically you need to find o ut which wire is ground, the other 2 can probly be just wired up into 1. it won't matter as long as the switch is in the off position. does this make sense? i had a few drinks tonight.

Green, red & yellow? Those are different colors.
The piaa was Black, red, white.
Pin 1 = Black
Pin 2 = White
Pin 3 = Red
Pin 4 = Red
Pin 5 = Black
The top of the switch has the little blue part.
Try pins 1,5 green
3,4 red
2 yellow
Swap them around untill it seems to work right. The most you will do is have it not work.

****update...fog Light Is Officially Installed*************
OK first off i want to give a BIG thanks to FUZZY, without his assistance i would have never been able to do this. Everything was the same as his install except for two different colors. My yellow wire went into pin 2 and my blue wire went into pin 3 & 4. I also used heat shrink tubing and taped everything up to try and make it neat. Also for the wires to connect to the pins of the tl switch i used quick connect connectors but i also used heat shrink tubing to insulate each connector so nothing would touch each other and short out.
So here is the pin discription for the hella's:
Pin #1= Black Wire
Pin #2=Yellow Wire
Pin #3=Blue Wire
Pin #4=Blue Wire
Pin #5=Black Wire.
Here is the pic of the aesthetically ugly Hella switch:
Here are some pics of the install:
Here she is installed and glowing:

Just thought I'd add this since I had to go dig for it:
TL Switch Part# 35180-S0K-A01ZA
http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no
And can anyone tell me what other parts I should order? Screws, blubs etc?

I'm going to answer my own question since I finally got around to ordering:
I bought part #s 23, 24, & 15 in the diagram in the link above. It turns out, you get the lights included with the switch (#23 includes 24 & 15)
It looks like the switch will just slide right in - no screws needed, and it even came with a little piece of fabric glued to the side. (I assume to prevent it from vibrating).

well for anyone that needs to know
Pin 1 - Ground for green 'on' bulb
Pin 2 - Output (to whatever you're switching; relay, etc)
Pin 3 - Input (most likely a live wire)
Pin 4 - Power for light when exterior lights are on
Pin 5 - Connection to interior dimming switch
i just tapped into the cruise control switch for pin 4 and 5 (same pins on the cruise switch)
credit to TL forum for the pinouts
