Tire Opinion Michelin Premier, Conti Extreme DWS or ContiPure
Hello so I noticed the other day that one of my Michelin Primacy MXV4's on my 08 TSX had a bubble on the sidewall. My tires are all worn to about 7/32 remaining so I was exploring the option of getting one used tire with similar tread life remaining but am unable to find one. Thus I've decided to replace all four as I don't want to mix tires.
Considering the Michelin Premier A/S, Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06, and Continental PureContact with EcoSport.
Seems like the Extreme 06 is similar enough if not slightly better than the outgoing model of this that seems widely loved on here. However the other two have better ratings on tirerack. The Michelin's would be about $100 less for four on tirerack vs costco.
My concern is how different I'll feel in the Extreme coming from the grand touring model. Also is the Premier too gimmicky? Want good handling and ride comfort/road noise. Thanks,

I've tried ebay/amazon to no avail, I have MXV4 215/50/17. On amazon the seller who has it doesn't have any left (it's inaccurate).
So any thoughts on the three tires I'm considering?

I would check your local Craig's List as well. I was in the same situation as you and ironically found the exact tire with nearly the same mileage.
We currently have the ExtremeContact DWS on my daughter's Accord and have been very happy with them. Found them on CL too. Very small local tire dealer had two in stock and was looking to get rid of them. So I had him get two more and had 4 mounted and balanced......
We have the PureContact on the Mrs ES350 and have been happy with those as well although, I find them a little noisy.

Once I sampled the Conti DWS on my TSX I've haven't look for a different type of tire since (on my second set on TSX). I also switched to DWS on my RDX after OEM (3rd set) and MDX (1st set in 20" range).
The DWS 06 are suppose to be an upgrade to the original DWS. I like the DWS because I put a lot of miles each year, hwy speeds up to 90 mph (some parts of TX), they can handle almost any type of weather, can handle the curves when you want to have fun, and quiet/smooth ride. The Conti DWS is a very good compromise if you only need snow tires occasionally (5-10 days a year in southwest). I once left LA after X-mas to head home to ABQ and I had +70 degrees, rain, freezing rain, slush, +10 inches of fresh snow (Flagstaff, AZ), ice packed roads, below freezing temps, and back to sunny and +50 degrees in the 12hr road trip. My MDX felt pretty good regardless of the road conditions.
Before we got the MDX, my wife would take the TSX with Conti DWS when it snowed because it handled better than the RDX with sh-awd with OEM Michelin.

My vote goes to DWS also. Had the originals on my Si and thru MN winters. Sorely missed them when I traded it in for the TSX. Quiet and handled well for a DD car year round. The DWS06 are suppose to offer the same benefits with a stiffer side wall (probably the most complained factor for the original DWS).
And they left a cool tread pattern in the snow. Haha.

Conti Extreme Contact DWS is a solid choice. Bridgestone Pole Position 970AS are very comparable; better dry/wet traction but poorer in the snow. I switched to the Contis because they are a few pounds lighter than the Bridgestones, but otherwise it's a toss-up if you can find them for the same price.
Interestingly, the Conti 06 model is a few pounds heavier than the DWS but still a little lighter than the Bridgestones.

Extreme Contact DWS would be my choice. Great performance, quiet operation, and will last a good amount of time.
