Honda HFP Suspension kit to lower a 2008 TSX?
hi all,
i am a proud owner of a 2008 tsx, which is pretty much stock. love the car to bits, but thinking about lowering, finally...
thus far i've had my mind set on h&r oe sport springs, as i'm not looking for a major drop - an inch or less, and with their 0.7" front & 0.5" rear drop, it fits the bill, + gets a slightly raked look up front.
however, it's been suggested to me by a local installer that i should go with a honda hfp suspension kit, which would supposedly drop the car 0.8" front & rear. the kit also comes with matched shocks, and has a much more comfortable ride than the h&r oe sport springs, which would give me a stiffer ride. the kit would probably be originally for the accord, but what year and body type, i don't know.
if it's of any help, i also found this (old) posting on another board, of someone selling the kit and claiming it'd fit 03-07 tsx's: http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=628483
from the pic, it looks like the part # is 08W60-SVB-1002.
that said, has anyone installed an accord hfp suspension kit on their 2008 tsx, or any thoughts on this idea in general? any replies to this would be GREATLY appreciated.
thanks!

didn't know hfp made a kit for tsx either... if true, i'd go for the factory option. if its for the accord, you may have to 'mod' it to fit. you sure its not the a-spec suspension?
you can't beat a matched spring/shock combo that is calibrated specifically for your car.

he said it was an accord kit he's suggesting, not an acura a-spec kit, and he seemed to be well aware of the fact that the a-spec kit isn't a very popular decision in the community. perhaps he knows something about non-north american accords (which are tsx's, in essence), and that's where he's basing this from, i dunno...
i'd definitely love to go this route, as the kit was competitively priced, but i don't wanna be a guinea pig on this project. my guess is that his intention would be to mod it to fit, but maybe he knows something us non-mechanics don't...
he also said that h&r oe sport springs + stock shocks would be fine (if i decide to go this route), and no aftermarket shocks or camber kit would be needed. sound right?
