It's an estimate. There are many factors that can affect the relationship between 0-60 & 1/4 mile.

True that ^

My friend had a turbocharged car that was modified with higher boost, different injectors, etc. He ran a 14.6 at 104.5 MPH. I think when we tested 0-60 times on the GTech, the best we could get was like 5.6 seconds... Figure that one out

Absolutely not a drag car. That's what the big block Chevy is for... Still fun to mod the TSX and measure the results -- and learn things in the process.

Completely agree...I just thought the sentiment that "the TSX is not a race car" is too much of a blanket statement and just tried to specify its not a drag car.

Still appreciate what you are trying to do in this thread.

Thanks, I agree with you. I'm looking forward to a few track days and autocrosses this coming summer. For a classy sedan, the TSX seems particularly adept at those kinds of "racing". Plus, they're a lot safer than the typical "drag" race -- that is, stoplight showdown.

aftermarket exhaust would relieve of a bit of back pressure, as well as shave a few pounds off of your ride - that might be enough to trim a couple tenths (at the most) off your times. good luck and keep us posted.

My next mod will be lighter-weight wheels and summer tires. I think those will drop a tenth or two off and add even more grip than the Avon M550s. Plus, they'll be fun at the autocross/track days.
Are you hondata'ed? I have no choice but to shift to 3rd right before 60 because I'm right past redline.

I am Hondatafied, so I shift at 7500 and stay on the high cam from 1st to 2nd. Makes a big difference.

Joe, I have to agree with Jan when he implies that you're being a puss not getting Hondata because you're afraid of wearing out your high cam lobes (I know that's the reason, you can admit it). You have to face your fear, Joe, and go ahead and just send in the $595 plus your ECU, immobilizer, and key. Sure, it's a pain, but you know what they say -- "no pain, no increase in the area under your horsepower curve". If it makes you feel better, send the $595 to me and see how you like it, see if it makes it easier for you to take that next step. I swear, I won't buy a set of coilovers with it and pretend I never heard of you...

Meh, I've been driving a stick since I started driving. I've never had a clutch go out on me only after 20K.

Long beach is nowhere near Canada.

From what I found online the fastest TSX ever posted (stock) was 7 second 0-60 and 14.9 quarter mile. ALL STOCK and 6spd.
