replacing CAT?

Quick question...Do I "need" to put in new gaskets when replacing a catalytic converter or can I just reuse the old one?

I think I need a new CAT for my car. Is there a brand that you guys recommend or are they basically all the same?

How did you make out with replacing your catalytic converter? Did you use an after market or genuine Honda? How many miles were on your car at replacement?

How long has the check engine light stayed off for?

It hasn't come on. At my mileage it was also wise to replace the O2 sensors too. They were originals replaced with Denso units.

Sorry to be a pain, but approximately how many miles do you have now? I'm just trying to gauge how long I can expect a non-oem replacement to last.

It's 6 months old. Walker was 160. OEM was 600. I can replace it 3 times for that price. I have put Walkers in other cars and those are going on 3 years with no issues. Use what you are comfortable with.
