Engine vibration @ 2000 RPM

Engine vibration @ 2000 RPM

Recently i have noticed that while driving whenever the engine RPM reaches the 2000 RPM mark there is a momentary vibration (like a shudder) in the car (that can be felt through the steering wheel and the floor), it appears that it comes from somewhere in the engine compartment. This happens both when the RPM is falling or rising during driving and the RPM happens to cross this
2000 RPM figure either way. If I drive at 2000 RPM the vibration stays until the RPMS either fall or rise above 2000 RPM. It happens in all gears and even when in Neutral if I try to maintain the RPM at 2000 by using the accelerator. Once the RPM is below or above the 2000 RPM the vibration goes away completely.
My car is an automatic 2008 Accord Euro.

My problem sounds a lot like yours. Except I have it in between 2000 - 3000rpms

Mine is right around the 2000 RPM mark. Go 100 RPM in either direction then no problem.

It's so annoying because this is happening around normal driving conditions.
If I am travelling in a 60km/hr zone and I need to lightly accelerate (ie going up a little hill) then it's very noticable.

Also driving on the freeways at 100km/hr the revs sit around 2000 RPM. A very very slight change in pressure on the accelerator pedal and there's that damn vibration.

Maybe my driving style is abnormal, but I NEVER drive at 2000 RPM. That's way too low in my opinion. The power band is 3k and above, and if you're lower than that, I think you're putting a lot of stress on the drivetrain.

Well if you are cruising at any speed below 100mk/hr (60m/ph) the revs will be 2000 RPM or less. Ofcourse Its possible to use tiptronic and downshift a gear to raise the RPM but that defeats the purpose of driving an automatic. And with most of my driving on busy surburban roads you don't get many opportunities to step on the gas.

I have a 6spd manual and at 60mph I'm just below 3000rpms in 6th gear. Oh well. Im going to replace my clutch, my driveshafts, and my differential all in one swap just hoping to fix something lol I'm leaning towards my clutch being the problem more than anything.

yeah i get the same thing and it is really annoying.....i get engine vibrations that feel on the steering wheel and the pedals.....mine is automatic as well and it is not really pleasant thing to have......mine also happen in the area around 2000 rpm....i have and 07 and its still under warranty so i will complain next time I take to the service and see what they say

I have had mine at two different dealers and both have taken the car for a drive. One has described it as a characteristic of the torque converter and the other mentioned it was like labouring the engine in higher gears at low engine speeds.

Whilst it is possible to lug the engine in high gears and low engine speed this happens in all gears. This happens also in P or N so it can't be lugging.
I don't understand much about the workings of a torque converter but is it possible for the TC to induce vibrations?

60mph is 3000rpm?

On my 2006 5spd AT, 60mph cruising it MAYBE 2200, and will drop below 2000 if I let it coast.

Is that abnormal?

IDOSEO has a manual so it maybe different. I have an automatic and my RPM is 2000 at 100mk/hr (60miles/hr). It's at this engine speed I get that annoying vibration.

No its normal, 6 speeds are geared differently

04 Acura TL growling vibration at 2k rpm

Hello, has anyone found a solution to this issue yet? Ive had this issue for more than now and it's getting very frustrating. Crusiing speed on hwy is right at 2k rpm and if I accelerate even the slightest i get this low growl vibration that can be felt though whole car and heard. Same exact as first post. Pls help. Been in auto field for 7 years now and just can't figure it out. I'm thinking either drivesafts or tc.

Havw you found a fix for this issue. I've been working on this for month now and never could find anything on web about it till now.
