Question How to replace cord for gas cap?

I snipped the cord for my gas cap, and now I regret it. I want to have that cord back, the one that holds the gas cap in place while you are filling gas. I cannot find anywhere to purchase a new one and am not sure how to repair it. Any tips? Thanks so much for any help!

Search on "Gas Cap Tether" and you will find some after market ones. Not sure if they will fit or not.

Thank you! "Tether" was the magic search word I was looking for. I bought a general kit and I'm guessing it will work. Cost $8.50 on eBay.

I checked the parts diagram for the fuel filler and it looks like you'd have to buy the gas cap to get the tether ($16).

Thanks, do you have a link to the parts diagram?

FYI, the kit "universal fuel cap tether 55300" sold everywhere does not work with the Acura TSX fuel cap.

need help removing tether to gas cap

I'm having trouble removing the old tether from the OEM cap to install a new gas cap on a 2007 TSX. I can't disconnect the tether from the cap or the car. Any advice?
