This is an unusual swap I get it. Reasoning is I purchased a 04 TSX 6 Speed with bad tranny, instead of buying a $1000+ TSX transmission I was able to source a K24 Accord 5 speed manual for $150. Everything bolted up fine except where the shift linkage connects on the TSX tranny there is a solenoid I believe for the reverse switch. The Accord transmission does not have this. I have tried taking this off of the TSX tranny to swap over to the Accord tranny but it wont come out. Do I have to split to the transmission case in order to pull this part out? Please tell me I dont.\

Ok I figured it out, this might help someone else who attempts this, but basically you dont have to swap this part over to the Accord tranny, you just leave the plug unplugged. Transmission works fine as it should, I just have 5 longer gears now instead of 6 shorter ones but it beats spending 8 times or more on a TSX tranny.

I'm moving up to my TSX from a 03 Accord MT. I die with a ball joint and clutch failure. Maybe I should save the motor (sell) and save the tranny for future use.
