MONROE vs. KYB

Your input on both products would be nice. I would like to compare. For those who like to throw in the words "crap", "sucks", or any other negative words to describe the performance... TELL ME WHY. Not because you heard (rumor) or 7 years ago you had a buddy (parts do improve). I'm NOT a FAST FURIOUS rider, I just want my 1998 TL 3.2 to see 500K. BTW, I'm almost at 250K

i have never tried Monroe... but i had my rears replaced with OEMs and the rear right one only lasted 15k miles... i replaced only that one with a KYB red, and it has been about 50k, no hiccups or issues...

KYB usually has pretty good reputation... i use them in my other cars...

I'm guessing they are probably the factory ones; wow 250k miles...

Probably factory parts. I just like the lifetime warranty that comes with it. We found another issue, both lower ball joints are blown. $43. Wasn't there a recall on the lower ball joints? And for those who plan on changing their rack & pinion and/or tie rods... You may want to preorder the right/drivers side rack & pinion boot/bellow... They are rare to find in Arkansas without ordering them. But there are plenty of left side boots/bellows.

Yeah... 250K... That's why I'm going thru all this maintenance and repair... It marks its halfway point to my 500K miles goal.

I ordered both of my bellow boots a couple years ago from Rockauto. You can call Honda Motor Corporate to check if your VIN was part of the recall.

Like a Reborn again car... I'm going to install a Legend's front Sway bar in two weeks to add to the feel. Let's see how these Monroe's hold up over the next 50 to 70,000 miles. I've just arrived to Dallas from Little Rock and it was a very comfortable ride.
