Valve Cover Replacement

Valve Cover Replacement
Hi guys, gals:
I've got a '98 TL 3.2; I've also got oil around some of the spark plugs. I know that I need to remove the valve cover and replace the O-rings beneath.
Has anyone done this that can give me an idea of the amount of work involved? The factory service manual isn't really explicit on removing the valve covers only. I can't tell what HAS to be removed in order to do this.
Does the intake, etc., need to come off to remove the cover? Any info is appreciated!

No you do not need to take off the intake, but you will need to first get the parts last because parts for this car are very hard to get and sometimes will be wrong. Also if you feel you can't do it don't because it is about a 3 to 4 hour job and has to have the tools to do it. It is a little longer because the heads are hard to get off because of how tight the fit is. but first take the coils off, then take out the spark plugs. Next take off the 10mm screw I believe they are 10 but the ones on the fuel line be a little careful with the metal rod they are connected to because you bend it to much it will be very hard to line back up but it doesnt matter really, next take the bolts off the oxygen sensor line which is on the bottom of the head, next take of all bolts connected to the head and to note the driver side on the back where the tranny stick is will be a little tuff so what you need to do is disconnect a piece of it to be able to fit your tool in there. Then you get the rest that surrounds the haed, it is pretty basic, just tight fits though....use silicon when putting back on, will stick on well or use the yellow glue, and cdouble cheack the gaskets always! when you but it back on you will need another person to hold back some parts to be able to put on with out it pulling apart the gasket. if there is anything im missing let me know
