Cv Boot Replacement A Shop Ny
In changing the front rotors notice that my boots need replacement. Car has 85k.
Realize this is a systemic problem with the car. I have no clicking and the steering is fine for now. The half-axle is probably better than aftermarket so I would rather just replace the boots.
Could any one recommend a shop in the westchester ny area who will just replace the boots Most shops in the area are merely part replacers and want fo put in new axles.
Thanks Madness

Thats because once the boot breaks- most/all the grease leaks out and contaminents are allowed in. Not noisy today does not mean still ok next month
So if a shop put on the shoddy glue on boots- the CV will fail and you will blame them!
Otherwise, they have to remove the axles anyway- so put in good part!

don't want to hijack the thread, but I have replaced my axles awhile ago and now I realised that the right one doesn't have a dymanic damper on it.
Also I get a lot of vibration coming through the axles when in gear and at stop.
I don't think the damper has anything to do with that because that's for higher speeds.
So, yeah.. get good axles and make sure the right one has a damper on it.
