sorry man, didn't know you posted a question

as far as functionality goes, you don't NEED a shroud, its purely cosmetic but it WILL look ghetto as hell if people can see the projector and how you rigged it in there. i think i've only see one pic where the guys didn't use a shroud and it looked like poo. i highly suggest you make something to cover it up, make it look oem...its tough to find something to make a chrome shroud out of so that's why i painted everything black and used a black plastic garden lamp. good luck!

I was planning on it but then I remembered I have something going on in Davis that same day, so no go. I do plan on going to the All-Cali meet in Fresno. I'll be expecting you and Go90go to be there as well! 1G TL caravan

I saw Go90go Saturday night too and gave him a honk. Didn't know he had vanity plates...

fixed broken door handles

both my rear door handles were broken and I mickey moused them to return with a spring but I saw Mandy's DIY guide and decided to fix them right.

here's where/why they break. the plastic tab that the hooked part of the spring rests on breaks so there's nothing for the return spring to push on.

here's how I fixed it. drilled a 3/32" hole deep into the plastic and screwed in a 3mm hex head screw w/machine threads. the plastic can be brittle so take your time and be careful

I saw you from a block away, haha! Your car's too damn clean... Were you able to decipher my plate? Some people are able to right away, but most I've asked couldn't. My buddy's one is [HWY DMN], explained to the DMV as "How Would You Decipher My Name" and Highway Demon to the rest of us, haha.

We'll see about the caravan since I just got hit last night.

~Cheers~

i actually drove by your car twice that saturday. the first time i was like why does that car look so familiar and then i realized whose it was. those s2k rims look really nice in person. i drove by again like 45 min later and you were out there so i gave you a honk...i didn't expect you to know who i was but i fig'd you'd recognize what i was driving...

Thanks! They're even nicer when I wash them, haha! The plate is half of, "大日本帝国" which means "The Greater Japanese Empire." Just like how China is actually "中華人民共国" but everyone just says "中国."

This car is so clean. I can't believe I haven't looked over this thread before especially since it goes back to 2005.

The shroud you have is pretty interesting. I would of never thought of using a garden light. I had the ace hardware flanged with sheet metal on my old accord when I did the tsx retrofit. This thread makes me want to add a tsx retro to the TL.

thanks. no tripod, all the shot were handheld on a Canon 50D with a 17-85mm, 50mm f/1.8, or 55-250mm. stupid imageshack strips all the exif data...it was a super bright day so shutterspeeds were very fast=no blur, plus IS doesn't hurt.
