What parts from 91-95 legend bolt on or directly replace our tl?
I have found a ton of legend all the sudden at junk yards and i was wondering what fits more on our tl's 91-95 what year would be better to part off of. And what parts can be replaced or changed. like engine, brakes, ecu im basicly just trying to see what all could go on to our cars.
And how hard would it be to take out a type II manifold?

Yes I would get everything that was mentioned in the thread.
The Legend had the same engine as the 3.2 but the Type-II had ~50 HP than the normal Legend.
You should see/feel a gain in HP with it.
Just don't do anymore burn outs.

/forums/f40/diy-egr-intake-manifold-cleaning-68465/ I found this im not sure if it has anything to do with our cars but it is very informative so im reading it. Will the type II give me 50 more hp? or how much if you no?

What is ported mean? I found the whole intake manifold everything not just the top part for $130. And found one at a pick and pull for 45 just the top and it was a type 1.
I also need brake pads and rotors can i get those from the legend also. One guy my father knows goes to the junk yard all the time for his bmw service shop get rotors and pads all the time from the pick and pulls he was saying that just cuz the car was in a wreck doesnt mean that the brake and pads are bad i guess he finds almost brand new ones out there not all shinny but good condition. sorry about mubbling on just thought i would tell someone about it.

the Type II legend was 230hp vs our 200hp that came with the Type I and our 1G TL... the difference of 30hp came from the intake mani and the Type II heads... the intake mani should give you a substantial amount of power but you won't gain the extra 30hp without the heads... (you do not need to port the intake mani to fit on our engines, it is a direct drop in)...
you won't be able to run the T2 heads on our cars since our ECUs are OBD-II versus OBD-I on the legends, unless your repin and rewire your whole harness like Ken1997TL did...
Type II brakes are dual piston calipers versus our single piston... i have a DIY that shows the upgrade... they are direct bolt on... pads and rotors are interchangable with the rotors...

Get the Type-II calipers.
The calipers fit the rotors that you have now. When you put the caliper on, you put the bracket and pad for the TL on the Legend caliper and that is it. It is an upgrade to any brake system.

The type II manifold took my friend and me 1h30 to get. Actually, he did the job mostly himself while I took out other part like the cluster, backseat and other stuff. If u have the right tool u may finish it shorter.

it takes me about 20 mins give or take to remove a type II intake manifold at the junkyard. no special tools are needed: a ratchet, an extension, 12mm socket, 10mm socket, 10mm wrench, 8mm socket to remove coil packs, and cutters.

in his case, it would be most beneficial to use the legend caliper bracket and use Legend type II ROTORS which are about 3-4mm thicker than the standard rotor

1. Legends use brake shoes for the parking brake. There would be no place for the TL's parking brake cable to hook onto.
2. The rotors are the same thickness and the pads are the same
3. They're both 1 piston of the same size
4. The rear barely contributes to the stopping power so even if you upgraded it, you would not see a difference in braking.

You cannot remove the front rotors yourself.
If they are the same as the 1G TL you need a press to take the rotor off.
So if that is the case, you will need the whole driveshaft.
I believe for the calipers you need a 10mm and 12mm
