RDX Lowering Springs on MDX
so my brother is looking at buying a 07' MDX but there is no "low" support out there for it...my wife has a 08' RDX....i was doing some research and both the MDX and RDX have the same MacPherson independent strut design and independent multi-link in the rear....and the curb weight difference is only 500lb's between the MDX and RDX (MDX is fatter) so do yall think i could make the RDX lowering springs work on a 2nd gen MDX? if not....i can always put them on the wife's car...has this been done before?

:update:
my brother and his wife bought the car....doing more research still.....thinking of leaning towards coils instead of lowering springs because of the added 125 lbs that will be on each spring (500/4) and since the springs rates are intended for a RDX not an MDX....i suspect just RDX springs would destroy the MDX shocks in no time....that way we can set the height and posssibly adjust dampness and stiffen to save the shocks..... will update when we get things figured out.... just letting you guys know who wanna follow this that this will not be like a two week turnaround....it's gonna take time

no parts have been ordered yet...as stated in previous post...we are still in the research phase...good thing is my wife has an 08 RDX so we can actually put the two cars side by side for comparison...i realize the mounting points may be different have not had the chance yet to compare....although i have also heard somewhere where honda odessy springs have been used on MDX but that's about it..have not found specifics on that subject
