Installed 2013 RDX wheels on my 2007 - TPMS Issues

I just replaced my 2007 RDX OEM 18" rims for the 2013/14 RDX OEM 18" rims.

Both rims TPMS operate at 315Mhz.

However they are not communicating with the car. I have done what the manual said and driven around, meant to memorize new sensor ID Automatically.

Any ideas why they won't work with my 2007 RDX? Possible solutions?

Many Thanks

TPMS aside...If you replaced the wheels, why wouldn't you get something better/lighter than the OEM set.

I had a minor car accident over the weekend where a homeless guy tried to jump under my car, attempting to con money out of me. Result I killed the sidewall of a tire. As the tire wasn't holding air needed a quick replacement. Someone on craigslist had these rims with tires a block away from me. Fastest solution, however now thinking about aftermarket.

Will the original 2007 RDX TPMS Sensors fit aftermarket wheels?

As long as the wheel itself is TPMS compatible, you should be fine. Keep in mind TPMS has been mandated since 2007 so it's highly unlikely you'll find a set of wheels that isn't compatible unless you're shopping the used market. However, I believe the seals should still be replaced if possible. They tend to be a one and done piece, but you might be able to reuse them.

So you didn't just run him over when the light changed? He probably would immediately regret that decision when SH-AWD got a hold of him.

That would look cool though with the new rims. Not a fan of aftermarket wheels tbh :|

Hey, was the issue resolved? Did you need to reset a system? Sorry, I'm kind of new to the scene; I'm coming from the bimmer world.

Thanks a lot

Long over due reply. Never got it fixed. Just took the car in for a service they tried everything to get them to work. They read the codes from the wheels but sensors aren't picking them up. Plan to change the tires shortly, going to install the original 2007 TPMS sensors and see if that works.

They use different sensors. Although they use the same frequency, they are different.
