Bobinator, bring this thread back from the dead, im really interested in where/how you mounted your lightbar switch. Ive been toying with placement but i havent seen something that works quite as well as your placement.
Im not totally sold on adding a switch to my interior and curious how others went about it.

You could add it to one of the grills but it would block the cooling for the various radiators in the front of the vehicle. I don’t think they’ll answer since the post is so old. You’ll need some sort of a switch or the light would always be on and kill your battery. Unless you wire it to an existing fuse for the daytime running lights.

i was hoping to wiring them to the highbeams and use the same switch for both.. initially but the more i think about it i want the ability to toggle it.

ive seen people express concern with cooling but i dont think itll be a noticeable dT simply because theyll only be on after dark (cooler than day time) at highway speeds. my main concern is deer on backroads.

I recommend cree led bulbs for your fog lights, which plug right into the stock harness. As well as cree led bulbs that double as daytime running lights and high beams that plug right into the stock harness as well. You can get both types of bulbs on eBay. As far as headlight you can just put 6k hid bulbs to match up the color to the leds. You can put led bulbs in the hid low beams. Any questions I can walk you through it. I’ve changed bulbs a million times all of my bulbs are cree led now. They respond faster, are brighter, and don’t melt the plastic in the lighting assembly!

I always use these bulbs in my fog lights...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/H11-100W-CR...-/192567837062

I always use these bulbs in my daytime running/high beam lights...

This is not my eBay, I am not selling these bulbs. I am just a user of these bulbs. I am not getting paid to say this and am not associated at all with this company.

If you need help changing any other bulbs or other advice on products let me know...I am just here to help.
