Valve spring tool and OEM valve spring & Crower comparison, Crower spring install. Oh yeah, you have to replace the valve seals. Because you have to remove the old one in order to get the old seat out.

First cylinder done, look at the OEM single spring one the other three cylinders.

Yeah, I'm replacing both Ex and In cams. I hopefully with the dual spring I can rev to 8k+. That is were the power is with the K-series motors.

8k on this engine won't help you much though unless you have a turbo that can supply the air. Have you found a solution to get more power out of the stock one? With all the other work you're doing it seems like that's going to be your limiting factor.

Yeah, that was me being to excited. I really don't care about going pass 8k. I told my mechanic that I just want to run 13's and he said "oh it will be a lot faster then 13's."

Amazing.....this is the exact build I had in mind the first time I drove past the Acura dealership, even before we bought ours, before I found this site.

The aftermarket looked bleak for the rdx , you're a true pioneer to have the cojones to throw a bunch of parts not specifically marketed for our ride into one

I'm interested in seeing if the rest of the Drivetrain will hold up lol

You can replace the head studs one at a time without removing the head on this engine?

Thanks! It's funny you said that, the mechanic said I did pretty good for trial and error parts.

Yes, you just can't break the seal. Removing one at a time is a good method of swapping them out.

The turbo manifold and variable flow by pass was a bit in the way of the right rear valve springs when trying to use the valve spring compression tools. The mechanic had to trim the tool and disconnect the by pass and moved it back a little.

Haven't found an upgrade for the turbo yet. There is a lot of people here that have information on shops that can upgrade the stock one. I'm going to hold out though. The mechanic wants me to call around and see if any shops can make an adapter for our manifold for an aftermaket turbo or get a sidewinder manifold w/aftermaket turbo and if I could buy an intercooler with a blow off valve delete. So we can run a BOV on the intake charge pipe.

It might be cheaper and easier to have a shop either wield or fit a block-off plate between the stock valve and your current IC. Think solid metal gasket in palace of the stock o-ring.
