I'm sure they can make a custom carbon fiber driveshaft you, you just have to request it and show them that you are serious.

Sorry guys it's going to take a bit longer for the driveshaft, they requested I send them a sample so that the CF driveshaft would fit 100%. Shouldn't be long..

Initially the plan was to go with a 1 piece; however, without a sample they were looking at making a 2 piece. So, I sent them a sample and they determined that it could be done. I think our stock driveshaft measured at 82 1/2 inches. The Carbon fiber 1 piece will be 70" with the CV to bolt up to the stock flanges. We can expect the carbon fiber driveshaft to look something like this.

Some features:

Reduces rotating mass for quicker ET's

Reduces 60 foot

Lighter weight

High speed balanced

More Tq to the rear wheels

Well, I paid for it on Feb 2nd. They said build time would be between 3-4 weeks, so it should be the end of the mouth. Not sure what the final price will be when they are done. I should know when they ship it out.

I'd say easily $1k. My friends shop is building a FRS for a customer. He's using a carbon driveshaft from DSS as well. That's how much that one cost.

Yeah, mine was 1675.00. You have to pay in-full in order for them to start the build.

Is there a warranty with the shaft? Had to have it explode on the first launch at the strip, and leaving you fuxxored.

It shouldn't be much longer, looks like they had to order new hanger bearings to use with our new upcoming CF driveshaft.

The CF driveshaft does not stretch back and forward like stock. It does have about a 1" movement up or down between the center hanger. It is a very solid piece and should wake up the rear end a bit.

Thanks! The DDS product should be a night and day difference, there is zero play in it. So, basically when you accelerate the rear will move simultaneously with the fronts. Should hook up nicely. Not sure how this will effect the SH-AWD. I guess I'll will have to give a detail review on it when I get if installed.
