Adjust Emergency Brake

Hi everyone. I have a 07 RDX with 38k miles and My e-brake has gotten easier to push and doesn't hold up the RDX when parked on a incline. I've been looking all over for the procedure to adjust the e-brake. Does anyone know the procedure for adjusting the e-brake. Thanks in advance.

Minor Parking Brake Adjustment:

1. Raise the back of the RDX so that both rear tires are off the ground.
2. Release the parking brake fully and apply it one click.
3. The parking brake adjustment nut is on the parking brake pedal housing just inboard of the pedal. Tighten the parking brake adjustment nut until the parking brakes drag slightly when the rear wheels are turned.
4. Release the parking brake and insure that the rear wheels no longer drag.
5. The parking brake should apply securely in 6 to 7 clicks.

If this doesn't work, it is followed by the Major Parking Brake Adjustment. This requires removing the rear wheels and accessing the parking brake adjustment ratchets through holes in the rear rotors. Let me know if you need to do this and are able to.

Easier than expected. Thanks. I did the minor adjustment and that did the trick.

Bumped from the dead. Useful to me at this time, may be for others as well.
