My Next Suspension

What should I do?

1998 CL 2.3 5-speed.

60 yr old male - daily driver, 20k+ miles per year. I put Koni reds on 100k ago and it was a nice ride, with the original springs. That ride is getting soft.

So I'm thinking another set of Koni's and maybe OEM springs.

I don't want to drop the car, but a slight closing of the wheel gap would be fine. Are there other springs I should look at? There are mixed reviews on the Eiback pro kit.

Are there coilovers with a small drop? Is that the way to go?

And do sway bars improve the handling on a car that isn't dropped?

The car has 214k on it now, and the engine only 70k. Either I'm driving it to 300k, or I give it to the kid.

thanks in advance.

Eibach prokit gives a very minimal drop, but rides great, very nice springs and close to oem feel. And if you're happy with the Konis, stick with them, otherwise, look into some kyb gr2's

its good to be back on.. I recently had the ebiach pro kit and kyb agx shocks.. it rides way better than my old shocks and the drop is great looking.. about half a inch over the stock tires and it doesn't bottom out.. and i live in Brooklyn thats pothole heaven!!

I also installed the NRG strut bars from the 94-97 honda accord. I did them today and they feel really good on my way to work.

I know black ack said this in a old post but to install i had to cut a small bracket holding up some cables on the right side. secondly i sand down the 3 holds on the bar where the strut tower goes through so it can fit better.

Thanks for the info.

I need tires first. I think I'm going to wait about 5k miles and then do the struts/springs.
