alarm malfunction
Okay, so I got a car wash yesterday and ever since then my alarm has been acting up. The door lock function works but the lights don't flash and there's no sound when I lock or unlock. Then randomly my alarm will just go off and I'll hear it outside....and then it will turn off.....sometimes I'll have to turn it off myself....
I think that something got fried during the car wash but I have no idea how to disconnect the alarm...can't find any fuses....
any help fellas??
sorry if this sounds disjointed, i'm at work right now and have a million things on my mind in the midst of having to go out periodically to turn off my alarm...lol

it's always a good idea to put the year and model of your CL somewhere in your profile so we can better help
as far as the alarm is concerned, it sounds like you may have a bad or dirty hood switch. I would open the hood and spray the bottom latch assembly really good with WD-40 or silicone spray, then work the latch by opening and closing the hood a bunch of times.
The alarm computer itself is probably not bad. If the hood switch is bad and is showing "hood open", it will refuse to let the car arm. If it shows "hood closed" at the time you decide to arm the car, it might be malfunctioning and showing "hood open" randomly, thus causing a panic.
Try my suggestion out and let us know what happens!
