Jessie's 99 2.3 CL
Hello all,
Picked up this clean 1999 2.3 CL about 2 weeks ago. Needed a new DD after I seized the F22B in my 92 Accord Coupe, it wasn't really worth saving so I picked up this CL. Got a great deal on it, its comfortable, quiet, Cold A/C, and of course 5 speed!
Not many mods planned. Already installed my rear fog, planning on Prelude VTEC 11.1" front brakes, seat heaters, and possibly OEM fogs.
Right after picking it up, with my bf's Accord wagon.
With the old coupe, my Camaro lurking in the background.
Rear fog
Volvo rear fog switch fits right in to control the lamp
The dog seems to like it.

Hmm very nice, good info on the Volvo fog switch too, do you have a part # for it? Looks like a great car, reminds me of my 1st CL

I don't have a part number unfortunately, but they come out of Volvo 740 and 940 models. There are a few different versions, I have the one shown above, one with an amber warning light built in, and a dual front/rear fog switch.
They fit right in the Honda switch hole but require spacers on the sides of the switch to keep them straight. I'll post pics when I get a new center bezel, mine is cracked and held in by sheer gravity

So, haven't done much to the CL besides detail it, including a Leatherique treatment, and drive it. We've put 14k miles on her since the beginning of May. Its a pleasure to drive, real smooth and comfortable.
We took the CL on a 4500 mile roadtrip out to Colorado Springs and back to visit a friend. The car performed flawless and I got a best of 36 MPG with the A/C on at 80 MPH.
On the way back we took a detour to visit the CL's birthplace; Marysville, Ohio.
Unfortunately, it was 6PM on a Saturday so no factory tour. So, we kept on trucking to Niagara Falls.

Well it's that time. Hit 180k miles last week, been very trouble free so far, only maintenance since I got it.
Bought a Gates T-belt kit with water pump included. The OE parts were listed as sourced from Gates so saved a boatload of cash by buying the kit from Amazon, $77 vs $250 for Honda OEM.
In other news, my rear fog got smashed by snow, no surprise. My BF gave me his Honda rear fog that was lying around! My inspiration came from this pic.
Hoping to install it soon!

Well, it was a good run. Killed the Acura this week when I rear-ended a car in a construction zone. It's totaled, but no one got hurt.
So I bought beater 93 Accord from a friend for dirt cheap. My BF cleaned it up and installed the front seats from the Acura. But it's just not the same.

Yea it sucks but no one got hurt. It was my first nice car! I am going to look at a 97 Accord EX sedan later today, if everything works out most of the new parts will be installed on the Accord, along with the auto climate control and other bits.

So finally picked up a replacement for the Acura...and spent the last month transforming the car into a 1999 Acura CL. All interior, wiring, engine, trans is from the Acura. Started it up and drove it out of the garage yesterday.
Didn't want to let this thread die on a sad note, so the Acura lives on inside of this 1995 Accord.
