Does the 98 CL have lower spark plug tube seals?
I have oil in my spark plug tubes with a year-old valve cover gasket kit. On my old 95 Accord, I had to change seals below the rocker arm assembly (Part number 19 here) to fix this problem (see Eric the Car Guy's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYU8qtPzQOY).
However, according to this diagram, my 98 CL doesn't have those seals. Eric the Car Guy also mentions in his valve adjustment video (working on a v-tec) that the tubes no longer have the O-rings in "newer" designs. Can anyone else confirm that there are no seals/o-rings on the 98 CL that need to be replaced like the ones in Eric's video? If I just got a bad valve cover gasket, I can hurry back to the dealer and see if they'll let me return the O-rings I picked up last week.
Also, he does mention in the valve adjustment video that the tubes on the newer design can be unscrewed and sealed with a sealer. Should I worry about that being a possible source for the leak or just go for the VC gasket kit?
