Motor swap between Acura MDX 2001-2002 (J35A3) and Acura MDX 2003 (J35A5)
Hi, i have Acura MDX 2003 (J35A5). I want to replace engine with J35A3 (Acura MDX (2001-2002).
Is it possible?

You can but those engines have less power output.
01-02 = 240hp 245lbft
03-06 = 265hp 253lbft

may run into issues as the 2003+ models use drive by wire to my knoweldge vs traditional throttle cable with the 2001-2002 models.

No you cannot. 01-03 j35a3 are different bell housings than the j35a5. You would have to swap the transmission as well but the 01-03 has tranny issues
