Clean auction value, for a non-RES = $33,125 & average = $31,050
Full retail $36,475 & $33,675
For RES = $34,325 & average = $32,250
Full retail $37,700 & $35,050
Buy it and apply your $2,000 to $3,000 savings to the AcuraCare extended warranty.
You'll get, at least, your money back, when your electronic shocks go out, between 35,000 and 40,000 miles.

Thanks for all your help Sir. its gladly appreciated.
-I made the deposit on the MDX Advance and hopeful will go test drive this week when i have time. it has a dealer inventory date of 09/03/2012 and sale date of 10/2012…does this mean i have until sept 2016 for the 4year/50k basic warranty to run out?
-Is there anything i need to be asking the dealer about the car differently from the CARFAX? It was a one owner lease vehicle.
-What other question should i be asking…How would i know if the shocks are going or have already gone…

You might have to call Acura warranty with the VIN to verify the exact date when the 4/50,000 expires. It sound like you have until 10/16 or 48 months after the sales date as long as you are under 50,000 miles for the basic warranty. As long as you are under the 4/50,000 deadline, you can purchase an Acura Car warranty local or on-line (no sales tax if you purchase online and out of state).
Depending on how long you will keep your MDX Adv, the Acura Care warranty is the only one I would go for compared to 3rd party. I rather do without an warranty on my MDX Adv compared to dealing with 3rd party vendors.
If you are still under the basic warranty, just schedule a routine oil change at Acura and have them give the MDX a bumper-to-bumper double-check for leaks, up-to-date maint, TSB, and suggested maint. I went ahead on my MDX in first few months and changed the powertrain fluids (engine/6at/transfer/sh-awd), new brake fluid, new cabin/engine filter, alignment/balance, and new wipers (front/rear).
Now would be the time to ask for any accessories (free or discounted price and/or labor) like hitch, running boards, roof rack, etc...
