Welcome to the family!!

Getting the MDX+tech is the sweet spot for this model. Planning on doing some traveling or growing family? The MDX is great for both and decent MPGs on the hwy. City/commuter mpgs can sometimes be a completely different story.

Thanks for the link for the Bumper Plugs. I have two holes in my front bumper I wouldn't mind covering up. Upload some pics once you get yours installed.

Hey there Mr. Gold. I certaining will upload pix once i recvd plugs and installed. I purchase this mdx as a family vehicle. I have a bagged lexus that i drive daily when its just me. I also have a nissan titan, but that doesnt accommodate a family of 5 too well so reason i picked up this mdx. I was looking at the newer models, but not too fond of the body styling so i stuck with the prior body style.

My other car, bagged is350.

Haha I was joking, it's not THAT similar lol. Why don't you like the tan? I vastly prefer tan over black. I have black in my MDX. I wish I had the saddle brown color.

I'm just not a fan of tan car interior. I prefer black and/or the stone color. But this car was kept super clean so ill just overlook the tan color. Lol. Whats gonna be ur next mod. I think im going to pick up some advance running boards.

I was really happy with mine (07 silver elite/sport + ent for you guys) when I first got it. I seen like 4 of the same exact car today with same trim and wheels and everything during my 20 minute drive. Therefore I need to do some differentiation. Strongly considering plastidip wheels black and also plastdip the front shield grille black but leaving the middle A badge and chrome lines silver. Then I need to color match the tint or at least slightly lighter than match and darken the rears a little for privacy. Then I need to source some (DAMN EXPENSIVE) elite/advanced running boards as well for the looks and protection. And not really a mod but respraying the rear doors as well.

The part that REALLY sucks is that I got an elite/advance model and it didn't have the running boards, so what happened is that stone chips have eaten pretty badly at the paint on the lower parts of the rear passenger doors in front of the wheel wells. So my advice to you, get the boards asap to avoid my problem or 3m the lower portion of the rear doors.

How about you? Plans?

Seems like you have it all planned out. As for me, I plan to keep this as stock as possible since it's a family hauler. I just want to get the advance running boards and call it a day and enjoy the vehicle. =)

haha sounds good man. I personally can't stand having a copy of everyone else's car so need some changes. I had a 2007 RDX before this and 1G RDX;s are hard enough to find, but mine was Royal Blue Pearl which made it very very rare. So I didn't need to do anything.

So the bumper plugs came in today. Installed them and they look great. Front end looks way better now. The front plate and bracket is hideous.

Before pic with holes, after pick with plugs installed. Easy installation, had to drill the hole bigger so plugs would fit.

That looks soooo much better!

Do the plugs feel pretty secure in the holes? No movement or a chance of falling out on their own? I'm going to order a pair for my MDX.

Yes the front end looks 10x better. As for the security, they are a tight fit, wont fall out nor move without someone taking them out. You will have to drill the screw hole a little larger in order to fit the plugs. As much as i like them, i honestly feel they are a bit over priced. The plugs are just plastic plugs u can find at home depot or lowes, painted to match. If u want to go the cheap route, search for these at home depot or similar store and buy touch up paint from the dealer and brush on. Anyhow, im happy with the end results. =)

It's basically these plastic plugs, painted.

Looking so much better. I am so happy that my province does not require front plates like a couple others do.

I remember readig about those plugs somewhere else and someone just went to home depot like you said and used a paint pen to color match.

oh come on, don't even come over here and say something like that. Try living in flat as hell Alberta. I cannot wait to graduate and leave this place and go to Vancouver or California.

But on a related topic, from OP's pics I thought he was in California as well? Arizona then?

Im from Cali, Orange County. I have never run front plates on any of my cars. I think they kill the appearance of the front ends.

Never had issues with Cops? here in SD you cant breath illegally without a ticket?
But well as far as DMV says it is illegal... Not enforced but still illegal to run the car without front plates... AFAIK only AZ allows it.

Technically, the plate is to be there, but the cops here have better things to worry about i guess. I've gotten a fix it ticket once before. Just zip tie on the license plate, get it signed off as corrected by a peace officer and ur good to go. =)

I know but the hassle...... Is not like it does a 360° Difference anyway.... That beak is still there 24/7.
I wonder if I can retrofit the lift-face Bumper and keep my Shield Grille? to the naked eye it looks like a bolt on.

Here in Arkansas no front plate required or furnished, so that is at least one thing they got right around here. There are some other states as well.
Plates on front suck, never had to deal with it. On old big square cars, front plates didn't look that bad, but on a new aerodynamic front end, it just ruins the look.
