Anyone else get hood flex at high speeds?
Anyone notice their hood flexing at high speeds, like 80mph & up?
First time I noticed it, I stopped & got out to make sure it was latched. It is fully & firmly in place when closed, no movement, it is sitting on the little stops under the edges, and all the insulation under the hood looks great, no sign of damage. The hood as a unit is not moving, it is the top sheet metal flexing, I notice it about the middle of the hood on both sides. Mine really gets going past 90mph.

Why you drivin so fast.
the bigger the hood, and the faster you're going, the more the hood will lift. above the hood is a HUGE low pressure zone acting on a lot of surface area.

I have 11 MDX and I haven't notice any hood flexing even with headwinds of 10-20 mph sometimes. The speed limit is 75 mph and I sometimes get up to 90 mph if I need to pass in a hurry. I had to adjust my rubber hood stops for my 06 TSX because it was bouncing a little bit at hwy speeds. I don't know if the MDX have the same type of adjustment available?
Anything missing or loose under the hood like the plastic shroud around the radiator or under the MDX?

I will see if my wife can shoot a phone video from inside the vehicle of the hood flex, but windshield glare usually messes it up.

few of the early MDX had that issue with production as there wasn't enough glue/sealant applied to the underside of the hood. There was a TSB for it
