Exclamation 2010 MDX Windows, Power Mirrors and Memory Seats Not Responding

Hello everyone, I have a bit of an issue with my 2010 MDX. I jumped in the MDX this morning to find that my seat position would not change after I unlocked the car. I then tried to press the numbers on the door panel to get the seat to change position and nothing, the lights do not light up and the mono button is inop as well. I decided to adjusted the seat manually and went to change the mirrors and they did not work either on both sides and all positions. I then started to check other systems to see what was all involved. All windows do not work including the moon roof. I know the drivers side window makes an attempt (already closed) in the up position but nothing in the down position. Also, when I put the car into reverse, the side mirrors do not move any more.

For troubleshooting, I've checked fuses under the hood in the fuse box next to the batter. I checked all fuses in this box. Next, I checked the fuses in the box next to the E-brake. Nothing out of the normal here as well.

The last bit of info that is weird is if I leave my car unlocked, the alarm goes off when I open the door before hitting the unlock button on my keys. It won't do this immediately after being in the car but wait 3-4 after getting out then open the door and the alarm will go off.

Any ideas?

Does you MDX start okay? Do you still have the original battery? Not saying it's your issue, but dying or dead batteries have been known to manifest themselves in all sorts of odd symptomatic ways.

The MDX starts fine but it is the original battery so right around 5 years old. This winter I did get a couple advisories to replace the battery but I figured the cold (was in negative temps) was the culprit.

Could the battery be the culprit even if these items don't work after the car has started?

It's hard to say for sure but probably not. Again battery symptoms are very random and often blizzak.. Back in 04 on the TL, there was a known issue with failing "memory module." Not sure if this is the same type of thing but that didn't involve the windows or sunroof. I don't have a service manual for an MDX, but could possibly be one of the bigger fuses or a relay in the under hood fuse box.

Also, my alarm starts to go off 20-30 min after I shut the door but only if I do not lock the car…

I checked all the fuses in the fuse box located in the engine compartment. These items are tied together in a couple different ways, possibly a relay causing this but I don't have a schematic.

I'm probably going to trow a new battery into the car this weekend and go from there. It was already time for a new one.

Went out to get a new battery and as I was pulling out of the driveway I decided to hit the mono button and was able to set a position. After that I looked over the car and everything was working fine. I had to of started the car 10x today with no luck so this was quite weird. I'm going to hold off installing the new battery for a couple days to see if it comes back.

I vote battery. 5yrs...its on its way out. I got about 5 on the one in my MDX...load tested low and the cold was making it worse. This winter.... no flickering of lights or struggles to turnover.

Wondering if someone can catch this as I cannot set up a new message as I am a new member.
I have a 2010 MDX 80K. Windows were working on interior controls. When I returned to my car after 20 min windows and sunroof wouldn't work with any of the interior controls.
> I checked the safety lock button
> Checked fuses
> Windows work using key on exterior
> No prior issues or indication that something was going to happen
> 2 days later noticed mirrors do not respond either

Any suggestions?

If battery is on its way out, but car starts everytime and when car is running your windows should work at all times.

You have an electrical problem.

Kinda hard to help diagnose that for you online. But I could try.

Right, that sub harness if thats your case can be repaired free instead of replaced.
You will have to inspect visually or test with multimeter every wire, pin, for continuity on that harness. And just repair as needed.

Check those wires and give us an update

IMHO the Sub Harness is too cheap to try to repair it..
If the sub harness was +50 bucks perhaps it would be more logical but at 20 bucks + ship for a Plug and Play OEM part repair is a no brainer.

Just my 2c.
